Just discovered this movie - BRILLANT! James Mason is fantastic as usual, I could listen to his voice forever.....I love Jessica Tandy as this emotionally complex woman, with a straight lace veneer....watching her react to the marriage news was superb.....and especially as she goes on to be mostly type cast in good girl roles down the road.

Boyer is SO CHARMING! Jessica Tandy, who I love as an older lady, really played some shrews in her young career. I wanted to strangle her in "Valley Of Decision" lol.

Valley of Decision , until I read the credits I did not know it was her but she was fabulous do do watch it. One of course with Greer Garson and one of my favorite leading me Gregory Peck. Jessica Tandy made her name better known later in life like Maggie Smith and Judi Dench. She was so great in Fried Green Tomatoes.

I can relate totally! I wonder if I am EVER going to sleep normally again. Too much stress with my brother and mom - can't shut my brain off!

Tandy is just fabulous to me and just seeing how beautiful she was in Valley of Decision floored me. Not a nice part but she was great. I am more of a fan of her later movies especially Batteries Not Included with her husband. Both were such great actors.

I had forgotten about her part in "The Birds" - it seems she didn't play nice characters until she got much older! I loved "Cocoon" too - sweet movie. She and Hume were so sweet together.

They never seem to run out! I just keep finding "new" old movies to watch.

Watched this movie A Woman''s Vengeance and first time I have seen it and loved it. Thanks so very much for sharing and Jessica Tandy seemed to mellow out in her roles in later years. She started off and they seemed to cast her in bad personality parts but good or bad she was an awesome actress and very versatile...Thanks again for posing. If you have never googled Charles Boyer I was so surprised how long he was married and then when his wife died he committed suicide. SO VERY SAD to be so in love you can't go on living without the other spouse. My heart broke but then I am a mercy person and can cry at the drop of a hat.

It's so strange that they speak of Jessica's character as not coming to terms with having lost her looks and being "old" at 35. Plus she was attractive.
